A walk-in is defined by its shape, and we design the layout to match the room and the way you dress. A walk in wardrobe needs floor space that a built-in does not, and the honest answer to whether a room suits one is usually decided by a tape measure rather than a drawing.

Hanging depth, walkways and the workable minimum

A hanging rail needs about 600mm of depth to take a coat hanger without the shoulders rubbing the back, and a walkway between two facing runs needs enough width for a drawer to open with someone standing at it. A single-sided run in a narrow room is often the better outcome than squeezing two runs into a space that leaves neither usable.
